Fuck The Facts (Relapse Records) headline and mark the Ithaca return of these underground grindcore champs. Tracks from their latest LP "Die Miserable" and footage from their 10th Anniversary Tour stop in are below.
East of the Wall, another band returning to Ithaca for the first time in several years, recently returned from tearing it up on the road with the mighty Black Tusk. Their 2011 LP "The Apologist" was lauded a masterpiece by many and its in-process successor is hotly anticipated. Proggy, tech-metal with three vocalists. Not much hits this level. Check out the title track below and visit their website for more streaming goodness.
Dads, New Jersey's "On Tour Forever" duo will bring an emo/indie/punk flavor to the evening. Loud, complex tunes coming your way. "American Radass" below.
Mortals are a band quickly on the rise. This all-female sludge doom trio just signed to Relapse Records. We'll let the music talk from here. This 12" rules.
Old Soul effortlessly combine genres to put forth a seriously epic set of screamed hardcore. They're making the 10 hour trip from Michigan to Ithaca to kick off their spring tour. Which is crazy. Check out "Ghost Incomplete" from their forthcoming "Tidal Lock" LP and grab a free download of their "Who are Willing to Draw Close" LP here.
Hiroshima Vacation - the grindcore brothers duo - expanded to a trio late last year, adding a case of power electronics and synth to the equation. Check out a clip of the new line-up and stream their side of the upcoming split with Greber (members of Fuck The Facts).
These three are recording now for an upcoming cassette split release with....
Blood Money are Syracuse's soul crushing, rage-fueled sludge monstrosity. Check out their debut and look for cuts from the up coming split cassette soon.
Yeesh are on the road from Chicago, IL and are a late, great addition to Big Day In with their dense blend of post-punk, indie, and math-rock.
We Are Whaleshark enjoy their Flipper, but do not care for your uniform. Sharply angled political psych-punk.
Twin Lords craft brooding, bass/drum heaviness.
Centopeia are the new band on the Ithaca block, pumping blues'd-out instrumental heaviness. Features members of Iwo Jima Med Kit, Knives!, TOMBS and Temuchin. Check out the first glimpse at what they're doing..
Temuchin return with their new trio line-up. Proggy, heavy rock. Excellent way to kick off the big day.
And... that's it! 12 bands. 11 hours. Just $5 for this all ages show.
